Slow start to Speed Race

My schedule's been so full this week I've barely had much time to even do Speed Race. Immediately, I've run into the following issue: Despite having only one car in the layout, multiple appear when I run the program, and then I'm not sure how to keep them on the road.

Now to just hope that next week I actually can do Game Gen with something resembling regularity...
