Making art with the Crayola 8 pack - when a toaster can use the 64 pack

This week the main thing I got around to adding was scoring; I'm gonna need to go over the videos more carefully to get the sounds and stuff done. From what I can research, the python turtle only allows minimal color and font selection, so trying to recreate my Construct Pong project (which AFAI can tell I don't have saved on my hard drive) is gonna not have quite the juice I'm looking for. Any chance I could ever use a custom background? Maybe - gasp - make the ball actually circular and not pixelly circular?
